Variation in practice: An in-flight experience™ is a game that’s fun and interactive. It gives teams a meaningful experience of measurement and improvement concepts. Through a series of ‘in-flight’ challenges participants learn how to detect and understand the variation in services that they and their patient’s often experience. They then engage in the design thinking required of successful service improvers. It’s an energising learning experience that provides an excellent basis for developing improvement skills.
Variation in practice: An in-flight experience™ provides facilitators with a way to explore measurement for improvement, small tests of change and ideas generation within the playful framework of a game. To date over 500 participants from a range of organisations have played the Variation in practice game.
When you purchase the game we provide access to all the facilitation materials you need. This includes participant instruction sheets, a facilitator handbook and presentation slide-deck, all made accessible via the QIClearn™ online learning space.
